How to setup Access Point Mode of Range Extender

Access Point mode will transform your existing wired network to a wireless network. We recommend that you use Access Point mode when your wireless devices need to access to a wired network.

Note: ME12 and MW300RE don’t have Access Point Mode.

A home Wi-Fi network topology: range extender in Access Point mode wired to router, broadcasting wireless signal to phones and tablets.

Here takes ME60X as demonstration.

Step 1. Log into the Range Extender’s management page. You may refer to How to login to the web management page of the Mercusys Range Extender?.

Step 2. Click the Mode button on the upper-right corner, select Access Point and click Save. Your ME60X will reboot to make your changes take effect, and please do NOT operate during the process.

Step 3. After rebooting the ME60X, connect your router's LAN port to the Ethernet port on your ME60X via an Ethernet cable.
